About Me
I am currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The Florida State University, where I am pursuing the D.M. degree in Percussion Performance under the tutelage of Dr. John W. Parks IV. Prior to arriving at FSU, I completed the Bachelor's degree in Music Education at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, where I studied with Dr. Tommy Dobbs, and the M.M. degree in Percussion Performance at Florida State University.
I have an innate passion for teaching music. I taught for 5 years in public schools throughout Fort Smith while completing my undergraduate degree, and currently teach the freshman percussion students here at FSU. If you have time, feel free to take a look at the Teaching column below. There you'll find my current teaching philosophy as well as my teaching portfolio submitted for the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award I was recently nominated for.
My current projects include developing my first video series, creating in-depth study guides for standard solo repertoire books, and mastering the art of recording engineering. I recently began a new position as a video editor at Rhythm Monster LLC, a massive resource for learning Scottish Pipe Band Drumming.
Enjoy!
